Team overview

The Education and Engagement team is responsible for supporting the strategic direction of Comcare by designing, developing and delivering high-quality education and engagement for the Comcare Scheme.

Working collaboratively across Comcare and with a range of other stakeholders the team seeks opportunities to increase the quality, effectiveness and impact of education and engagement across the scheme.

The team is compromised of the following areas:

Role overview

The Assistant Director, Engagement and Design, is responsible for leading and supporting Comcare to achieve its strategic objectives through a stakeholder centric approach to engagement that is well coordinated, collaborative and effective.

The role requires both a strategic and operational focus on the design, development, delivery and evaluation of stakeholder engagement planning, activities and events.

The position has a strong focus on identifying, developing and sustaining stakeholder relationships to ensure achievement of outcomes. The Engagement and Design team encourages, enables and supports groups, teams and individuals across Comcare to collaborate, coordinate and deliver effective engagement.

The Assistant Director requires high level strategic and analytical skills, utilising data and evidence to develop, monitor and evaluate outcomes. This role requires an agile and collaborative working style with the ability to rapidly respond and adapt to changing conditions and broader business needs as they arise.

Eligibility and specific conditions of employment

  • Character clearance (police records check)
  • Health clearance
  • Six months probationary period for new engagements
  • Special Conditions:
    • Ability to travel occasionally including overnight absences.
