About the Role
The Honourable Justice Emerton, President of the Court of Appeal, is seeking a legally qualified individual to be her associate with an anticipated commencement date in late July 2024. The President sits on criminal and civil appeals, and has responsibility for ensuring the efficient conduct of the work of the CoA. The President's associates assist in the discharge of her Honour's judicial and administrative responsibilities. The successful applicant will gain valuable experience in civil and criminal appellate matters in the CoA.

The successful applicant will be admitted to legal practice, and subsequent employment experience is desirable.
Excellent research and writing skills and strong academic credentials are essential. One or more of: experience on the editorial committee of a university law journal; research work for an academic; and/or a higher degree in law, are preferred.
