Apogee is actively seeking a full-time Senior Foreign Military Sales (FMS) Engineer to support the Intelligence, Surveillance, Reconnaissance, and Special Operations Forces (ISR & SOF) Directorate located at Wright-Patterson AFB, OH.

What you will be doing:

  • Translate Foreign Military Sales (FMS) user requirements into system requirements which will be used by the weapon system contractor to design, develop, fabricate, test, and evaluate systems, subsystems, and equipment for deployment
  • Perform technical/mission analyses of operational requirements, assist in developing system concepts, and perform technological/trade-off study assessments of proposed designs
  • Assist with processes for drafting project documentation including, SOOs and SOWs, program plans, schedules, and presentations
  • Draft regulatory and statutory documentation to include, but not limited to the SEP and life cycle management plan
  • Review Contractor documents and data and providing comments
  • Assist test teams in the development of test requirements and reviewing test plans
  • Review and analyze technical proposals or modifications for cost, design feasibility and system compatibility
  • Support and conduct engineering performance, effectiveness, cost effectiveness, cost performance, life-cycle cost, producibility, maintainability, supportability, reliability, technical/ schedule risk assessment, and scheduling trade-off studies
  • Support the evaluation of IMP, IMS, and SEDS engineering cost estimates
  • Assist in the evaluation of systems test plans such as systems test plans/test and evaluation master plans and participate in the conduct of system, subsystem, and component testing
  • Provide systems/subsystems integration support for the acquisition, development, and verification of systems and equipment

What you will need:

  • Security Clearance Required: SECRET
  • Must possess one of the following education/experience combinations:
    • Master's Degree and a minimum of 10 years of relevant experience (15 years preferred), 5 years of which must be in the DoD
    • OR, Bachelor's degree and a minimum of 12 years of relevant experience (15 years preferred), 5 years of which must be in the DoD
    • OR, 18 years of directly related experience, (20 years preferred) in lieu of a degree, 8 years of which must be in the DoD
  • FMS Experience (preferred)
  • Apogee offers two medical plans, a high deductible health plan with a HRA and a traditional POS plan with co-pays, dental, vision, 401(k), life insurance, PTO, paid holidays, parental, military and jury duty paid leaves. Regular part time employees scheduled for twenty-four or more hours per work week are eligible for benefits on a pro-rated basis
